The Arlington Neighborhood Conservation (NC) Program is a citizen driven program for funding curb, gutter, sidewalk, streetlight, and park improvements. The program has been in existence for over 35 years.
In addition to the projects that take place near or within Arlington Heights, there are County-wide policies, plans and standards that lay the groundwork for all projects.
Columbia Pike is a boundary, a major transportation route and the primary commercial corridor for Arlington Heights. While many of these projects won't affect land that is technically in Penrose, the changing face of the Pike still has a major effect on the neighborhood.
